After talking about it for 5 months....I finally arived. I thought I would be a mess, crying a lot, homesick, etc., but I have really felt a peace since I've been here. I'm not saying I'm adjusting perfectly...but I know the prayers of everyone at home are really holding me up. The encouragment from everyone back in the states is overwhelming and has really been a blessing.
I left from Ft. Lauderdale on November 7th. I was not really knowing what to think exactly. I was nervous...but excited. I was sad to say goodbye to my family and friends,...but happy to see my new missions family. The flight was uneventful (Praise the Lord!) and we arrived to find Derek Ebbers (Team member), his daughter Jessalyn (11), and Abigail Hartman (15 and my student at Kingstone) waiting for us at the airport. It was then a 3 hour drive into the mountains and into the little city of Codlea...my new home.
The next few days were filled with getting our apartment unpacked and set up, cleaning, spending time with all of the team members, learning the area, getting ready for school to start, ect.
The first few night Carly and I stayed at the Hartman's home. It was nice to not be on my own right away. But tonight, I write this blog sitting on the couch in the living room of my own apartment. It's kind of strange....but nice. As soon as Abi left and it was just Carly and I, I looked at her and said, "Let's go back to the Hartman's!" haha :) It is exciting to be in my first apartment though.
Isn't it funny my first apartment is in Romania? haha I will upload pictures of it later and show you the view from my window.
The weather has been cold but beautiful. It was in the 60's when we first arived and today the temperature was around 25* F. I'm a Florida girl through and through,....but the cold isn't so bad. :)
The team has been amazing! Helping us in every way you could imagine. They have been so sweet to show us everything, feed us, help us get what we need, and tell us what we need to know. I'm so excited to get to work with such an awesome group of people.
The Lord is continuing to bless me daily and teach me so much. Our first team prayer meeting we talked about pursuing Holiness as God has called us. It was a great reminder of what my focus should be.
I'll write more about my adventures later. :)

However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace. Acts 20:24
