Week 37

The Date: September 25th-October 1st, 2013

How far along? 37 Weeks

Look how big he is now!
Total weight gain/loss: 30 pounds

Baby Size: Baby is the size of a winter melon. He is 18-21 inches long and weighs 6-9 pounds. He is gaining about half and ounce every day

I've never had one of those
Things I learned about Baby:  He is practicing inhaling, exhaling, sucking, gripping and blinking. He is also getting his first sticky poo (meconium) read for his first diaper.

Maternity clothes:
 Ummm, yes.

Changes I've noticed: I have had more contractions this week and they are now wrapping around to my lower back. I've seen stars at random times which is kinda scary. My hands and ankles are so swollen that most of my shoes don't fit me and my rings definitely don't fit anymore.

Sleep: Sleep is hard but I'm fine. :)

Best Moment this week: My birthday was this week and I had a fun time hanging out with Landon and his family. We played a lot of ping pong and went to dinner at Surin 280. Landon gave me some great gift cards to buy some new clothes and makeup after the baby comes. Dustin gave me the new RUF Auburn CD and his parents gave me some pj's for the hospital. My mom sent me a gift but I'm still waiting for it in the mail. :) I also had my last baby shower with the girls from my Sunday School class at Briarwood. It was really nice to have a time of fellowship with them and get to know many of them better. It was great!

New Favorite CD
Miss anything: My ankles, my shoes, my clothes.

Crave anything: no.

Movement: Yes, he is still moving so much!

Anything making you queasy or sick: no

Showing: haha Of course!

Labor Signs: I'm now dilated to 2 cm and 80% effaced! I'm having more contractions and I've lost most of the m plug.

Belly Button: My belly button is completely flat now. I don't think I have the kind of belly button that can become an outy. Which is good! So mine is just stretched to be flat.

Wedding Rings:I've been wearing my rings on a necklace. My fingers got so swollen this past week. I look forward to being able to wear them again soon.

Moods: My mood is good. I'm happy and excited. I'm super tired and sometimes I cry easily.

Baby Preparations: I think we finished the nursery! Except for putting pictures in frames and his initial on the wall (since we haven't picked a name yet.) I hung frames on the walls and Christmas lights under the crib. I got a new tall silver lamp and put blue ribbons on both lamps. I made some cute blue, grey, and white baby bunting banner to hang on the wall. I think it adds some more color to the room. I finished packing my bag and the snack bag. I crocheted some new little items for my little buddy.
Blue Baby Booties for my Little Man :)
Baby Bunting. I actually hung it a different way after this photo.

Prayer Requests: Pray that I will recognize the signs of labor when they arrive. Pray for safety for baby during delivery. Pray that he will be healthy. Pray that he will never remember a day when he doesn't know Jesus as his Savior.

Packing the Baby's bag!
I am looking forward to... getting the new baby swing and high chair in the mail! We decided to get the new MamaRoo. Landon thought it would be safer because it can't tip over. It is a lot smaller then the other swings on the market so it doesn't take up your whole living room. Which we thought was great for our small house! It looks kinda funny...like a little space ship but it plugs into the wall and will save us lots of money on batteries. Also looking forward to my next doctors visit to see if I've progressed anymore.
Lunch date with Landon drinking a coffee on National Coffee day!

Week 30

The Date: August 7-13, 2013

How far along? 30 Weeks!

Total weight gain/loss: 17 pounds

Baby Size: Baby is the size of a cucumber...well, at least the length of a cucumber. :) Little boy is 15-16 inches long and weighs about 3 pounds.

Things I learned about Baby:  Baby boys brain is now fully developed! It contains speech and language centers in the process of development. Complex neurological connections and learning will continue long after birth.

Maternity clothes:
Bleh! Hate them! haha Wore two maternity tops this week...they actually fit me. I'm still wearing lots of none maternity clothes that fit me too.

Changes I've noticed: My nose gets stuffed up only when I lay down to sleep, which makes for some occasional pregnancy snoring. Sorry Landon! Also, I started eating less this week. I look at food and feel like I want to eat more but then I can't fit it into my stomach. Baby is taking up all the room! :) Also, I'm starting to sweat very easily. I got hot just sitting in Sunday school the other day! Landon said he didn't think it felt hot in the room...just pregnant me!

Sleep: Sleep pretty much stinks! But I don't walk around tired all the time. I'm getting less sleep than when I was teaching and I feel totally fine. Maybe I won't need as much sleep anymore??? Or maybe It's just a weird pregnancy thing and I'll go back to needed/wanting 9 hours a night. We shall see!

Best Moment this week: Spending time with Landon. Going out on date night Friday night. We went to a little Italian place and ordered a huge stuffed pizza. We sat and talked for an hour after we finished eating and just enjoyed our time out together. I also enjoyed my time at the pool with school friends catching up with them. I don't see them much anymore since I'm staying home this year so it's nice to hear about everything going on at ECCS.

Miss anything: Diet Coke. I was limiting myself to an occasional caffein free diet coke here and there, but I noticed that I was getting braxton hicks on days that I would drink it and not getting them on days that I only drank milk and water. So, I think I'm going to go cold turkey and nix the Diet Coke...for a while. Positives: no braxton hicks! Saving money! Maybe I should never pick up the habit again...

Crave anything: No pregnancy cravings...just want a Diet Coke.

Movement: YES!!!! He moves like crazy! I was getting worried that he was moving so much because he was uncomfortable or I was hurting him the way I was sitting or laying. I asked my nurse if there was such a thing as "too much movement" and she laughed and said no. I learned that the reason he moves more when I lay down is that he has more room to stretch out and move. So he is actually enjoying it. And here I was all worried that the crazy amounts of kicking meant he was in distress or something! I'm sure this won't be the first time I'm nervous about something that is really nothing. I'm glad I asked the nurse! :)

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope. Just when I get too hot!

Showing: Oh boy! yes!

Labor Signs: Well, is it a sign of labor that baby boy is head down now? He is getting ready to come see me!

Belly Button: I'm glad that the belly button is still in! I don't want to spend the next two months embarrassed that it is sticking out! haha I'm hoping it won't ever stick out or it won't stick out for long.

Wedding Rings: I only take them off to sleep in. If I wear them to bed my hands seem to swell up. During the day they seem to be fine.

Moods: I think my mood this week has been pretty even. No crying or uncontrollable laughing. I've felt normal this week.

Baby Preparations: Just lots of praying, crocheting, painting, and planning. We still don't have a name for our little guy yet! I wan't to know it! We have three first names picked out, and we are still looking for middle names that go well with them. I know, I know! We only need one name but we like them all and can't decide!
Little Bear hat I made for Baby Boy this week

I made this one for a friend! Looks like a little mouse!
Little photo prop for Baby boy
Can you Tell these are little elephants? I might add these to the baby hats!
Prayer Requests: This week I've been praying a lot for Landon. He tore his ACL and will need surgery soon. He wants to get it before the baby comes so he can be ready to be Dad right away. We aren't sure about the timing so we are just praying for wisdom and continued healing. Also, praying for baby boys continued growth and development. Praying specifically this week that baby boy won't have food allergies like me. Praying that I will continue to stay healthy and feel good.

I am looking forward to...Setting up the crib next week. Organizing baby's clothes and things!

Week 29

The Date: July 31st-August 6th, 2013

How far along? 29 Weeks

Total weight gain/loss: 15 pounds!

Baby Size: Baby is 15-16 inches long and weighs 2.5-3.5 pounds. He is about the size of an Acorn Squash. haha

Things I learned about Baby:  Baby boy can now regulate his own body temperature! How cool is that! His bone marrow is now in charge of producing red blood cells for his little body. He can urinate half a liter a day now. The lanugo on his skin is shedding while the hair on his head is starting to grow in thicker! (If he will have hair. :)

Maternity clothes: I went to destination maternity and bought a dress to wear for special occasions. It is a simple silky grey wrap dress. It's not my favorite, but it does fit! Probably a little to big but I'm sure I'll be filling it out by the time Whitney's wedding rolls around. :)

Changes I've noticed: Things are becoming a LOT harder! Picking things up on off of the ground isn't easy anymore. Getting up off the couch after lounging isn't easy anymore! I looked at Landon yesterday and said, "This pregnancy just got real!" The ease of the second trimester is over and joys of the third trimester have begun! I'm glad the baby room is painted because getting up and down is no easy task! The reality: I still have a lot more growing to do! This big belly hasn't peeked yet!

Sleep: I used to sleep for 9 hours without waking up before I was pregnant. I can hardly remember those days now...

Best Moment this week: Prepared Childbirth class with Landon! We went on Saturday and had our class on pregnancy, childbirth, and basic baby care. We thought we were going for a short 3 hour class. We were so wrong! The class was from 9:00-4:00!  I knew probably 70% of the material that was covered but it was nice to be able to fill in all of these gaps. It was great to get to go with Landon. He didn't know most of what was talked about and it made him feel a lot more confident. We BOTH feel a lot more confident now. At the end of the day we went to the hospital for a tour. It helped us know exactly where to go when I go into Labor and what to expect once I'm there. We feel ready to have this baby now! Only, Baby, don't come out yet, YOU are not ready to be in the world yet. :)

Miss anything: Good sleep, normal clothes, easy movements. haha

Crave anything: No, but sugar tastes really really good all of the sudden. haha

Movement: Baby Thumper is still a thumpin'!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Heat! It is way way way to hot here in Alabama. I've never said this before but I will be so thankful for the summer to end.

Showing: Most Definitely!

Labor Signs: More braxton hicks this week. My whole stomach gets hard and uncomfortable. I don't like them! But I know it's my bodies way of practicing for real labor....what must real labor be like???

Belly Button: Still in! Hopefully it will stay that way for as long as possible. :)

Wedding Rings: Still fit! :)

Moods: Okay, I think the real hormones of pregnancy have kicked in this week. The smallest thing Landon says makes me laugh so hard...and then it can instantly turn into tears. I just tell myself, "You aren't really sad, this is just hormones!" and then I can usually fight back the tears. It's so strange to not feel in control over those emotions. Most of the time I'd say my hormones are making me super happy and excited and I'm totally a great audience to have around right now. :)

Baby Preparations: I finished the baby afghan and I finished painting and recovering the glider! I'm so excited about them both! I think they turned out really great! They both took me about 3 weeks to complete working on them off and on. I'm excited! :)

Finished chevron Baby blanket!

Closer Look

Project time!

Finished the glider! Freshly painted and freshly covered cushions :)
I am looking forward to... Looking forward to spending each day with Landon. Looking forward to setting up the crib, no...we haven't done that yet.

Week 28

The Date: July 24th-30th, 2013

How far along? 28 Weeks

Total weight gain/loss: 14 Pounds!

Baby Size: Baby is about 14 inches and about 2 pounds. He is the size of an eggplant. (I'm losing faith in this fruit comparison)

Things I learned about Baby:  Baby is still gaining more fat and his skin is getting less wrinkly! If he was born now he might be able to breathe on his own! (Don't get too excited! Stay in there little guy!) His eyes can now open and close and can track light. I learned that sight isn't fully developed until weeks after birth!

Maternity clothes:
Hate Maternity clothes! haha My MIL gave me two maternity tank tops that are comfortable. I've been wearing those around the house. I went shopping for some more maternity clothes and came back with nothing. I'll try again in a week or so.

Changes I've noticed: My hips hurt at night when I sleep! But! Landon and I bought each other a new mattress for our anniversary! We got a memory foam mattress so I'm hoping that will help! :) I've also noticed that my baby boy is a hyper squirmy little guy! I can't wait to see those little kicking legs in person!

Sleep: I can't wait to sleep on my new comfy mattress! Coming soon!

Best Moment this week: Well, this week has had many ups and downs. Sad: In Laws are moving away in a week. A sudden surprise to us all. Also, Landon tore his ACL and we are faced with decisions on surgery and when the best time for that would be.

Happy news! We are getting a new mattress! Landon and I had an awesome anniversary together and we are enjoying spending lots of time together this summer. We painted the nursery and it looks great! We tested 5 paint samples and finally decided on a light grey color that almost has a bluish tint to it. It's going to look great with all the white furniture. I've also been keeping up on lots of crafty things while I'm home all day.

Paint Samples! Guess which one we picked.
Miss anything: Regular clothes

Crave anything: Not anything specific but my appetite is definitely back!

Movement: Yes! He moves so much when I'm still. At night, in bed, Landon can feel the bed moves when he is kicking like crazy. It makes me wonder if he is just active or if he is uncomfortable with the way I'm laying...I don't know.

Anything making you queasy or sick: The Heat!!! That's all.

Showing: OH YES!

Labor Signs: Less braxton Hicks this week.

Belly Button: Hangin' In there!

Wedding Rings: wearing them still!

Moods: Mood is happy! I do laugh a lot easier these days! Either Landon got funnier or it's my hormones. No tears though.

Baby Preparations: Besides painting the baby room and the dresser I did a few other little crafts this week. I crocheted the baby hat and it turned out really cute! I went to Janie and Jack's baby store and they had the cutest stuff! I saw a little onesie like this one with a cute blue whale for $36! Of course I didn't buy it! I went home and made my own! I want to make a few more of these in the future. I think they turned out really really cute. :)

Crafty Projects! :)

I am looking forward to... prepared childbirth class next week with Landon. :)

Week 26

The Date: July 10-16, 2013

How far along? 26 Weeks

Total weight gain/loss: 13 pounds gained

Baby Size: Baby is the size of a head of lettuce. He is somewhere between 1.5-2.2 pounds, and is about 14 inches long. (I personally feel like this little guy is bigger than this already.  :)

Things I learned about Baby:  He is practicing breathing this week by inhaling small amounts of amniotic fluids. The nerves in his ears are developing more and more so he can he now not only hear my voice the voices of people around me. So cool! "Hi Baby! How's it going in there?"

Maternity clothes:
Seriously...I need to go invest is some more clothes. I don't know what it is that I have against maternity clothes. haha

Changes I've noticed: My feet are swelling at the end of every day now! Also, I'm sweating a lot more now. They heat of the summer is getting to me and if I'm outside in the heat too long I will get dizzy and nauseous. Lovely, right?

Sleep: Sleep isn't so bad these days...except that Little Baby Thumper startles me and wakes me up with his massive kicks! He is so still when I'm driving, moving, cleaning, etc., but as soon as I sit or lay to rest he is on the go. I think we might be getting a glimpse at his little personality.

Our new crib!
Best Moment this week: Spending time with Landon. Working on baby preparations. Attending a friends baby shower at church, getting a glider from my sweet friend Leigh Ann Fleagle, and purchasing a crib and bringing it home!

Miss anything: Sleeping in any position that I want to! I can't wait to lay on my back again, or sleep on my stomach! That will be amazing. :)

Crave anything: Nope, nothing. I thought I'de be going crazy with foods like I always hear about pregnant woman doing, but nothing has hit me yet.

Movement: Does he ever stop moving is now the better question.  At my tired moments the movement can be a little annoying but in reality I don't want it to stop! It lets me know he is doing okay in there. I think if there is a day where he doesn't move much I may start to get worried. On Sunday he was kicking so much you could see my stomach moving under my dress. Like a cartoon with a mouse under the rug! Landon and I almost died laughing in Church service.

Anything making you queasy or sick: The only thing that makes me sick is the heat, and these Alabama summers can be brutal!

Showing: Oh, there is no doubt that I'm showing. I feel like I'm showing more than the norm for 26 weeks. He is so high up! He comes up to my bra line! Not sure if that's because I'm short or if I'm just carrying really high.

Labor Signs: No braxton hicks this week! It's been a real easy going and restful week so I think that helps a lot.

Belly Button: The belly button is stretching out but it is still hangin' IN there. ;)

Wedding Rings: Getting tighter!

Moods: Feeling great! Happy and excited!

Dreams: Yes, yes, yes, crazy dreams, but I still can't remember them. (Next pregnancy I'm deleting this question.)

Baby Preparations: This week I bought a crib!!!! Well, my mom bought it for me but I picked it out, purchased it, and brought it home! So exciting! It was on sale at Pottery Barn Kids and it is the perfect crib for our nursery...now to get started on the nursery. We finally nailed down our colors. Grey walls, white furniture and frames, and blue linens and details. I got grey and white chevron fabric to cover the glider, and baby blue fabric to cover the little wooden table to go beside the glider. I also have been working on some crochet projects. I started and finished a little crochet lamb rattle. I crocheted it and filled it with stuffing and jingle bells. While it didn't turn out as cute as the picture, I still think it is pretty adorable. I also started a grey, white, and blue chevron afghan. I'm doing about one stripe a day so I should be finished in about two or three weeks. So far it looks pretty cute!  :)  Next week we plan to pain and put the crib together. :)

Lamb Baby Rattle I made this week

I am looking forward to... Setting up the nursery! We have so much work ahead of us but it is really exciting to get it all started.

Week 25

The Date: July 3rd-9th, 2013

Only 100 more days until his Due Date!!!!
How far along? Second Trimester: 25 Weeks

25 Week profile. His face is starting to fill out and he has a neck now!

Total weight gain/loss: 12 Pounds up! :0

Baby Size: Baby is the size of a large bundle of cauliflower. He is about 13-15 inches long now and weighs somewhere between 1.5-2.2 pounds! He is getting big!

Things I learned about Baby:  Baby boy is starting to grow his finger and toe nails! His nervous system is developing this week and he is gaining a sense of equilibrium: which way is up and which is down. He is also gaining more fat and hair!

Maternity clothes:
I'm still not wearing a lot of maternity clothing but I should probably buy a few more things soon. It's just not that much fun to shop for. Can you believe there is something that I don't think is fun to shop for!?

Changes I've noticed: Belly is bigger! I catch my reflection in the mirror and I'm not sure who I'm looking at. I'm also starting to lose my breath easier when I walk places or exercise. I also feel hot almost all the time. Yes, I know it's summer. Yes, I know my A/C is broken in my house. For some reason I feel much hotter than I would have if this was all going on and I wasn't pregnant.

Sleep: I need a lot of sleep but I'm starting to get up once or twice during the night. It's also hard to sleep when you are HOT. Also, it's starting to be hard to find a position to sleep in that baby boy will allow me to stay in.

Best Moment this week: Spending an awesome weekend with Landon. It rained all weekend and we stayed in the house and enjoyed each others company. We missed each other last week so it was fun to spend time together not doing anything.

I made Landon some Birthday Cupcakes. White chic. cream cheese frosting! His favorite!
Also, I had an other ultrasound this week and got to see the little guy again! We got another shot of his profile and it's so stinking cute! You can see how he was filled out in the last 8 weeks.

Miss anything: Plopping on my bed on my stomach! haha I miss lying on my stomach.

Crave anything: No, but I went to the doctor and they told me I needed to drink more milk! Funny, that is what I had been wanting to drink! I guess it was a craving. :)

Movement: Baby Thumper is keeping his nick name! When I got home Landon hadn't seen my in almost two weeks. He noticed a change in my belly size and how it felt. He could feel that baby move very clearly! We even looked at my stomach and could see it move when he kicked. We had fun with that for a good hour or so. :)

The cute little leg/foot of Baby Thumper!

Anything making you queasy or sick: If I get to hot I don't feel good.

Showing: For sure!

Labor Signs: Nope. No more Braxton Hicks either.

Belly Button: Still in! Phew! Hold on as long as possible little belly button!

Wedding Rings: Still wearing them! They are still fitting comfortably.

Moods: Feel great! Happy, excited, energetic. :)

Dreams: I'm terrible with this question...I can never remember them after I've been awake for an hour or so.

Baby Preparations: Make my baby registry at Buy Buy Baby for my Alabama showers coming up. I also got to shop at Baby Gap with my mom and Paige! We had way way to much fun in there! I think I'm obsessed with Baby Gap. I also went to T.J. Max today and found some cute expensive baby clothes for cheap prices. I got $90 of Baby Puma wear for $20. Landon was so excited about it! We are going to dress our little guy in the Puma clothes when we got to the tennis courts. I also got two cute little Ralph Lauren Polo one piece outfits.  Cute stuff for a great price!

Dressed like his Dad!

I am looking forward to... getting the baby room together, up coming showers, weddings, and events going on this summer. Also looking forward to picking out a name for our little guy...but that might be his birthday gift. haha

Week 24

The Date: June 26th-July 2nd, 2013

How far along? 24 Weeks

Total weight gain/loss: 10 Pounds up

Baby Size: Baby is the size of a cantaloupe! 10-12 inches long and anywhere from 12 - 21 ounces!

Things I learned about Baby:  Baby boys lungs are developing! He can't survive on his own yet outside the womb but we are getting closer and closer! His skin is less transparent and is looking more and more like he will when he is born. Hair is growing on top of his head now! Maybe I'll be able to see in in the ultrasound next week.

Maternity clothes:
Bought one new shirt this week in maternity. I was wearing long sleeves for western VBS theme and then I went out and was dying, so I found a maternity tank top and bought it. It's very ugly but it was totally worth it.

Changes I've noticed: People are totally starting to notice that I'm pregnant! Also, I've been getting leg cramps at night. There have two times this week that my stomach has become hard as a rock! Braxton hicks is what I'm thinking it is. Another change I've noticed is that my feet got swollen for the first time this week! I noticed my shoes were feeling tight and then I looked down to see swollen toes!!! Wow! That is a weird feeling when you see other parts of your body changing. (They went back to normal the next day.)

Look at those scary swollen toes! Yikes!
Sleep: Besides the leg cramps and the braxton hicks tightening sleep has been fine.

Best Moment this week: Being at home with my family in Florida, my baby shower, and celebrating Grayson's birthday at the Marlins Game.

VBS! Ye-Haw!
Birthday party at the Marlins Game in their new Stadium in Miami
Miss anything: Shopping for clothes. Maternity clothes just aren't so much fun.

Crave anything: Not really craving anything...but I do like to drink more milk than I did before.

Movement: So so much movement! He kicks so much in the morning and at night. Now I'm starting to feel him more during the day too. If I sit a certain way too long he gets annoyed and starts kicking. I call him Baby Thumper. :)

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope, not this week.

Showing: Yes! In just one week people are starting to notice the changes in me. Pretty crazy!

Labor Signs: Do small Braxton Hicks contractions count? That's all I have felt so far.

Belly Button: Still in!!! Not sure how much longer that will last.

Wedding Rings: Still fit! Although, when it was really hot in Florida this week they felt tighter than ever.

Moods: Feeling normal. Although, I missed Landon's birthday this week (I didn't forget I was away) and I cried when he told me he went home and made a frozen pizza and the A/C went out at the house. I was sad for him. Not sure if it was hormonal or just me missing my husband and feeling guilty for not being there.

Dreams: I had lots of dreams about Landon while I was away. We missed each other. :)

Baby Preparations: I had a baby shower so I had lots of preparations completed! I got lots of great stuff. My mom is giving me a crib which is really exciting. Now I just need to pick on out that I want! :) That can be next weeks preparation.

I am looking forward to...seeing Landon again. I missed him this past week. Also, excited to celebrate Landon's birthday when I get home and then get my next ultrasound at 25 weeks.

Week 23

The Date: June 19-25, 2013

How far along? twenty-three weeks

Total weight gain/loss: 9-10 lbs up. :O wow!!!!

Baby Size: Baby is the size of a Grapefruit. He is approximately 12 inches long and anywhere from 12-21 ounces.

Things I learned about Baby:  This week his outer ears are starting to develop and his face and eyes are forming. He is aware of my voice and can hear my heart beat, and other loud sounds outside. He may even move more when he hears familiar sounds. His face is fully formed but doesn't have much fat yet.

Maternity clothes:
I have one maternity shirt I'm wearing and one pair of jeans. Other than that I am wearing loose fitting clothing with umpire waste bands.

Changes I've noticed: My feet seem to be getting wider! crazy! My lower back is also aching a lot.

Sleep: Sleep totally depends on the night. Sometimes it's good and sometimes it's bad.

Best Moment this week: Heading to Florida to see my family. Spending time in VBS.

Miss anything: Shopping in the normal section for clothing.

Crave anything: Not really, but I like to drink lots of water, lemonade, and anything else I'm allowed to drink.

Movement: I've started calling baby boy "Little Thumper" because he is moving moving moving! He moves so much in the morning and a then at night when I'm falling asleep.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nope

Showing: Yes, still looking fat but some think I look pregnant.

Labor Signs: Nope!

Belly Button: Still an inny

Wedding Rings: Still fitting!

Moods: Feeling great! Happy and excited!

Dreams: Weird dreams all the time.

Baby Preparations:  None this week. :)

I am looking forward to... My baby shower next week with all my friends and family in Boca. :)

I had a fun Sushi Date with Paige this week!

Wednesday, June 19, 2013

Week 22

The Date: June 12-18, 2013

How far along? 22 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: 7 pounds!!!

Baby Size: Baby is the size of a papaya! He is 10.5-11.8 inches long and about 13-20 ounces.

Things I learned about Baby:  He can now hear my heart beat, my stomach churn, and the sound of our voices pretty clearly. He also now has eyelids and more developed eyes that continue to sense light. His brain is growing and developing complex neurological connections.

Maternity clothes:
Definitly need to buy some more clothes now. I have really popped out this week. It's a pretty drastic change from two weeks ago when I took my last picture!

Changes I've noticed: My stomach is huge! I'm gained 5 of my 7 pounds in the last three weeks! I asked my doctor if I was doing something wrong and he said I was fine. So...I guess that is normal for first pregnancy.

Sleep: Sleep could be better. But it's not terrible. I just have to prop myself up the right way. I do miss laying on my stomach and back!

Best Moment this week: Hearing babies heart beat at 155 and celebrating Landon's first Father's Day. We called if First-ish Father's Day. I served him breakfast (from the baby) and we played tennis together and swam. It was exciting to think about how different Father's Day will be next year.

I also received a pregnancy book in the mail about maternity fashion! That was fun! and I go my invitation to my Boca Shower! I'm so excited! :)

Miss anything: Sleeping on my stomach and back. I'm tired of my sides! I can sleep on my back in i lay on the couch, that doesn't seem to bother me or the baby. As soon as I lie down on the flat bed it just doesn't work anymore.

Crave anything: Not really. But watermelon is tasting pretty delicious.

Movement: So much movement! It's crazy though, he kicks and I grab Landon's hand and put it on my stomach and he stops...so he still hasn't felt him move yet. Hopefully soon! (I know I've been saying that for about 3 weeks now but....we'll see.)

Anything making you queasy or sick: Well, people were talking potty humor the other day and I just about threw up! I was also really hot so that didn't help. I never do well with that kind of thing but for some reason it just seems to be worse right now.

Showing: Totally! I'm feeling like I have an inner-tube around my stomach! One that I can't ditch when I get out of the pool. haha

Labor Signs: none

Belly Button: still in! Thank goodness! I hope it doesn't pop out soon.

Wedding Rings: Still fit! yay!

Moods: I have been feeling great and normal until last night I just about cried over the tiniest thing. I just told myself that it wasn't real, just pregnancy hormones and I got over it in a few minutes. I can be so sensible to a fault! In this case it is working out for me.

Dreams: Oh so many! I don't remember anything exciting at the moment. I don't like dreaming...I like solid peaceful sleep! I do miss that.

Baby Preparations: Made a baby registry at Baby's R Us for my Boca Shower that is next week. I also made some more little baby booties! These were heather grey to go with a newborn outfit I'm hoping to get to take him home from the hospital in. :)

I am looking forward to...Looking forward to Dance camp this week, heading to Boca next week, and having a baby shower with my Boca friends and family!

Week 19

The Date: May 29th, 2013

How far along? 19 Weeks

Total weight gain/loss: 3 lbs above starting weight

Baby Size: Size of a mango.

Things I learned about Baby:  Your baby's sensory development is exploding! His brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. Some research suggests that she may be able to hear your voice now, so don't be shy about reading aloud, talking to him, or singing a happy tune if the mood strikes you. Your baby weighs about 8 1/2 ounces and measures 6 inches, head to bottom — about the size of a large heirloom tomato. His arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of her body now. His kidneys continue to make urine and the hair on her scalp is sprouting. A waxy protective coating called the vernix caseosa is forming on her skin to prevent it from pickling in the amniotic fluid

Maternity clothes:
Everything I try on I don't like. But I did buy a maternity swim suit this week. Well, I only bought the bottoms to it and I'm wearing my normal top. I'll need to buy a top soon but the one they had at the store was really ugly and it fit like a tent.

Changes I've noticed: I feel the baby so much more now! I'm also starting to get back pain in my lower back some days.

Sleep: I'm starting to sleep better now. I can sleep through the night most of the time.

Best Moment this week:  This week was the last week of school. It was a great moment but also sad. I've been spending time this week cleaning out my classroom. Sad at moments but exciting as it marks the beginning of a new chapter in life for me.

Miss anything: Nope

Crave anything:  I never drink milk but for some reason I've been wanting milk this week with certain foods. I've probably had a glass of milk every other day this past week.

Movement: So much movement! Especially in the morning when I first wake up. I think we are almost to the point where Landon will be able to feel him. I felt the movement with my hand only once, but we are getting close I think! :)

Anything making you queasy or sick:  I think I ate too much gluten this week. I didn't feel well yesterday but I don't think it was baby boy I think it was my recent gluten assumption.

Showing: for sure! I'm so close to actually looking like a legit pregnant woman. I have a large bulge but in the next few weeks I'm sure it will round out to look like a baby bump a little more.

Labor Signs: NONE!

Belly Button:  Still there. Still in.

Wedding Rings:  Still fit. Still on.

Moods:  Feel great. Feel excited! Feel normal and happy.

Dreams:  I had a dream that my mom signed me up for gymnastics and I was in level 3. I went to compete but Terji only taught me the floor routine and not anything else. I also couldn't do a back walkover so I begged my mom not to make the pregnant 27 year old complete level three gymnastics meet. haha  Wow! I guess from all those years I spent at gymnastics meets growing up.

Baby Preparations:  This week I got a free car seat canopy! I only had to pay for shipping. It was $50 and I got it for free! :) It is good for getting into a building on a cold or rainy day. It keeps the baby dry and warm. So cute.

I am looking forward to...Beginning a registry. Having Landon feel the baby move soon.

Week 18

The Date: May 22, 2013

How far along? 18 Weeks

Total weight gain/loss: Up two pounds from starting weight

Baby Size:  Baby boy is the size of a bell pepper. The tech said he was about 6 inches long and just under 9 ounces.

Things I learned about Baby: This week baby is moving more. He can hiccup, yawn, and make more facial expressions. His bones are continuing to harden. At the ultrasound I got to see the little guy have a few hiccups! It was darling!

Maternity clothes:
I bought a shirt this week from Gap! A long blue umpire waist tank top with lace on the bottom. :) I also bought a few things for a photo shoot. (Blue clothes!) None of them were maternity, but just a size bigger than usual.
Blue or Pink? What do you think?

Changes I've noticed: My belly is really popping out! Food tastes great! Sleep has been easier this week. I feel baby boy every day now!

Sleep:  Getting easier to sleep through the night.

Best Moment this week: 3. Tell everyone the baby is a boy! 2. My 4th grade class threw me a gender reveal baby shower! so sweet and fun! 1. Having the ultrasound and finding out it was a BOY!!

School baby shower and Gender Reveal
Miss anything: Nope.

Crave anything: Nope.

Movement: I feel him move several times a day. Usually 2-4 times a day...usually only when I'm lying down or sitting still.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Not really. As long as I don't go too long without eating I'm pretty good.

Showing: Yes! I'm really popping out! People may still think I'm just fat but I'm getting so close to looking legitimately pregnant! :)

18 weeks on the Dolphin Cruise in Gulf Shores
Gender predictions: It's a boy!!!!!

It's a boy! Photo Shoot!
Labor Signs: None!

Belly Button:  Still in!

Wedding Rings:  They still fit! But, it's getting sooo hot here here in Alabama and I'm starting to lose weight. My once loose rings are now fitting normally. Uh-oh! I may end up having to lose my rings by the time this is over!

Moods:  Happy and excited!

Dreams: Not as many crazy dreams this week. I think it's because I've been sleeping better. Which is wonderful! :)

Being thoughtful on the boat
Baby Preparations:  I bought a few little boy outfits for his first few months. Landon and I also started talking about baby names more seriously.  We have two names we are serious about but we aren't close to picking a winner.  We'll see how this plays out.

Made a trip to Baby Gap already for some boy stuff!
I am looking forward to...I'm looking forward to summer starting this week. Then I'll have time to really begin the baby preparations.

More: So, at my class baby shower we had so much fun. The students were dying to know the end results! We colored bows and glued them to Popsicle sticks. If they thought it was a boy they put the bow to their neck (bow tie) and if they thought it was a girl they held it to their head (hair bow). Then the room moms brought in cup cakes and we all took a bite of them to see the frosting inside. The students were shocked to see the some had pink frosting and some had blue frosting! Then I bit into my cupcake and it was blue inside. There was screaming, celebrating, and some whimpering from the girls. Then we played a game with little diapers with melted chocolate bars inside. The students had to open the diapers and guess the chocolate that was inside. It was hilarious! At first the students were so disgusted by the game but then they got so into it. They were eating the chocolate right out of the diapers and putting the diapers up to their noses. It was so funny to watch. I played too! I got 9 out of 10 of the chocolates right. :)  Then we opened gifts and they kids gave me tons of diapers, wipes, and cute baby things. I'll be set with swaddler diapers for the first 2 weeks or so! Such a blessing! :)
